School Of Rock

School of Rock has been an awesomely positive experience for my granddaughter. She’s so excited and animated about her lessons. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her more enthused about doing something.

Dedicated, professional, knowledgeable staff and management give the students a well-rounded music education while building community and self-esteem. The shows at real Austin venues and the house band of talented students who play year-round are amazing! The school instills good habits and positive attitudes. Over the past 4 years, my children are more independent and have learned a tremendous amount while having such fun and exciting experiences they couldn’t get anywhere else but in this school and playing in the heart of Austin. Thank you SOR Austin!

We really wish the scale “goes up to eleven…”We are thrilled with this program and our daughter's progress so far. Her technical skills have really developed and now she is starting to engage in a bit of stage presence. The instructors have been phenomenal, with just the right blend of challenge and positive feedback. Jo has mastered an extremely difficult situation driven by the recent pandemic, keeping the students engaged but in a safe manner. We are really looking forward to a full return to a wide open engagement with both the school and the local venues, two shows are always better than one….Rock on Team SOR!!!!!

This has been a fantastic program for my son! His instructor, David, does a phenomenal job with him and the fact he's rehearsing with a band and eventually playing live is the cherry on top. The staff also have been supportive in figuring out some technical bugs at the beginning of this journey.

I recently signed up for lessons and for the adult band. My teacher Taylor has been simply awesome. He’s patient and kind and is a bass badass. The group has a lot of fun! I feel challenged and totally lost most of the time but it’s in a good way. :D Jason is a fantastic leader—encouraging, a great sense of humor, and always pushing us to be the best we can. School of Rock has been an awesome find for me. I wholeheartedly recommend the school, no matter where you are in your musical journey.

The School of Rock team is absolutely amazing! My kiddos love attending their classes and lessons at SOR. They’ve learned so much in their time at the school. The instructors are skilled and the support staff is great to work with. 10/10, highly recommend.

Life changing program you can trust.

The staff led by Jo and musical direction by Dave and teaching staff including Jason, Yamal, Travis amd Elliot are just incredible.

They give our kids (and me!) such a wonderful and well managed program that they’ve become a real part of our homeschool program (along with others we’ve referred) and we are just in awe.

I am currently enrolled in the Adult Performance Program, and as an adult music student. After retiring I decided to indulge my inner rock star and take music lessons (keyboards). School of Rock has been wonderful! After less than a year of lessons I have progressed to the point that I am able to participate in the performance program and play with a group on stage. I echo the comments above about how nice and how cool everyone is at SoR. There is a great vibe at SoR. A real old school Austin music scene vibe. Check them out.

I took voice and guitar here three years ago. It was the best decision I ever made. My instructor, George was amazing. Unfortunately I had to quit due to money issues. I really want to come back though. I just can't remember the prices

Everyone at School of Rock is enthusiastic, genuine, kind, and helpful. They all appear to love what they do and the positive vibes are contagious. My daughter loved it from day one! I highly recommend!
