It's going to be hard to put into words how much I appreciate Mel and his team, but I'm going to try! I have had several different CPA's for my business. The first couple really screwed me and my company by not filing extensions, not filing correctly, and overall not communicating (costing me thousands of dollars). The next few were okay, they did things on time and correctly, but I never really heard from them until I owed them money for their services.

And then you have Mel and his team. Not only was the communication outstanding, but once my taxes were done, he scheduled a couple of hours to review everything with me to make sure it was all correct before submitting. He also strategized with me for what to do in future years, and there were a few things he included that no other CPA has ever done with me. I can't believe it took me 10 years to find this gem, but rest assured, I will never let him go!

This is my second year of tax prep and filing with Mel Johnson of IRS Tax Solutions, and I remain impressed. First of all, his process is so simple, straight forward, and efficient that even a tax and tech dummy like myself can follow it. When it comes time for the review (after uploading pertinent documentation and scheduling the appointment), Mel fills out the tax forms while you watch (in a Zoom meeting), answers any questions you have, and explains the options for payment (if you owe). I confess that I am a very poor tax planner, having a “hear, speak and see no evil” approach to taxes until the wolf is at the door. In the past, I have been lectured to by tax preparers or met with silent disapproval, none of which has effected a change in my tax behavior. But Mel seems judgment free and focused on pointing out solutions if requested. Though he can’t magically make all one’s tax debt disappear, I think that his friendly, patient, and very calm manner make the whole process far less stressful. Again, I highly recommend Mel Johnson, a tax whisperer.

I found IRS Tax Solutions three weeks before the filing deadline while I was searching for tax preparers online. This year, I wanted a real human to do my taxes; I had been using TurboTax, which to me was arduous, and every year I would get a revision from the IRS pointing out computation errors. Mel Johnson was personable and patient. He explained their procedure in a clear, step-by-step fashion. I had a bit of difficulty connecting to Zoom for the online tax review (ancient computer and tech dummy), but it worked out. The best part is that Mel advised me of a recent provision in the tax law that allowed me to spread out my tax liability over a three-year period, which in my current situation was a godsend. Needless to say, I was very pleased and relieved and highly recommend IRS Tax Solutions to anyone, especially to an oldster like me who is not very computer literate.

I haven't known tax time stress for 3 years now!! Confident, friendly, and helpful tax solutions from Mel has made spring much more enjoyable.
